Thorne Manor Day Nursery and Pre-school
Thorne Manor Day Nursery & Pre-School is an Ofsted registered provider situated on a working farm just outside the market town of Holsworthy, Devon. Thorne Manor has been open since 2004 and we have achieved an Outstanding rating by Ofsted three times consecutively.
We are open 50 weeks of the year and provide education and care for children age 0 to 5. We also offer a holiday club for school age children outside of term time.

Our development stages
Lambs 0-2
For babies aged 4 months to 2 years. Toys, natural materials, messy play plus Indoor and outdoor activities.
Piglets 2-3
For 2-3 years olds; free-flow indoor/outdoor activities, toilet training, speech and language development.
Calves 3-5
For children aged 3 and 4 years. Forest School adventures, Pre-school and ‘Lodge’ activities, reading writing and phonic development, school-ready skills development.
Forest school
Thorne Manor Forest School provides the opportunity for children to learn about his or her environment within the safe and highly regarded Forest School programme. The Forest School programme nurtures physical, social and emotional skills, improves decision making, self-esteem and independence, through small achievable tasks.
Thorne Manor Holiday Club
Holiday Club runs from 8am to 6pm in the school holidays for ages 4 (School reception) to 10 Years. This runs from our separate building opposite the Preschool, with private outside space and access to our own Woodlands.
